Surfaventura Surf School is located on the beach in Matosinhos, 8 km from Porto. The school is open all year round, during the week, on weekends and some holidays. It usually opens at 10 in the morning and closes around sunset which varies from 17:00 in winter to 20:00 in summer.
The school opened in 2003 and its facilities include a dressing room, wardrobe, showers, a multi-purpose room and an outside area where you can relax. Most classes are held at Matosinhos Beach. This beach, with its wide strip of sand, guarantees all year round the best conditions to learn to surf and progress safely.
The experienced instructors of the school will teach you surfing and stand-up paddle lessons and will teach you in the best way, whether you are at the beginner or advanced level.
Surfaventura also offers the best equipment, like O’Neill wetsuits for winter and summertime, of all sizes, as well as soft, hard, short, and longboards depending on the level.
It is possible to organize advanced courses for experienced surfers and surfing trips to nearby beaches where you can find quality waves without a crowd.

The activity is suitable for all ages and takes place in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean that surrounds the island, along with one of the most beautiful rocky shores of the island. A number of techniques need to be used to cross the track, whether on foot, in climbing, or swimming. This is a special nature reserve in Madeira National Park. A dive into the clear water is included as well.
Bycicle routes:
Unforgettable routes from the highest points on the island to the ocean water, from the north or south side of Madeira. During the ride, you will be exposed to breathtaking views. All routes are adapted to the participants physically and technically and are built in such a way that it is possible to cross different areas, for example, individual routes, old regional roads, etc.
