Portugal may go to the by-elections

Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa failed on Wednesday (27.10) in passing the budget, which means Portugal may go to the by-elections. Costa heads the Socialist Party and its supporters are the communist left-wing party that yesterday dropped the budget because he refused to increase the amounts of social security payments and investment in the health care system. Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has already warned that if parliament fails to pass a budget, the country will be forced to advance the election by two years.

Adv. Itay Mor, the president of the Zionist movement “Over the rainbow Portugal” commented on the incident to the newspaper Israel Today: “A significant event has taken place in Portugal. The government has failed to pass a budget while the ruling party’s political partners are expressing distrust that has not been seen in the country’s provinces for many years. Portugal is currently at a crossroads. “Other elections. Needless to say, during the coronavirus period and the slow recovery, such a move could lead to a severe crisis over the reality in Portugal.”
