If you love challenges and adventure patients, get to know your next destination, the longest suspension bridge in the world that opens in Arouca (Aveiro district) in Portugal!
Last April, the longest pedestrian bridge in the world launched in the town of Arouca, with an investment of 2.3 million euros and its length extends over 516 meters, in May it opened to the general public. In order to get there and enjoy the experience we are recommend to purchase tickets in advance, along with the flight and the hotel.
The bridge provides breathtaking views along its entire length in every direction you look. Local residents in Arouca can enjoy the experience for free by presenting a resident card.

The cost of entry for tourists and non – Arouca residents:
• Children from 6-17 and adults over 65: 10 Euro
• Ages 17 to 64:12 Euro
• Students presenting a student card: 10 euros
• Children under the age of 6 are not allowed in
Types of family packages:
• Two adults and one child over the age of 6: 30 Euro
• Two adults and two children over the age of 6: 40 Euro
• Two adults and three children over the age of 6: 45 euros, extra for each
additional child 5 euros.
All entrance tickets include access to Paiva walkways on a route of more than eight km along the Paiva River, between the banks of the River Areinho and the Espiunca Bridge.
Arouca Mayor Margarita Belem said that the tariff set was not intended to guarantee a quick monetary return on the € 2.3 million investment in building the bridge, but to justify the exclusive experience provided by the bridge, which was built in natural, expensive and protected space.
The bridge project was done by a number of organizations and companies, including the ITeCons Institute, for research and technological development of construction, energy, environment and sustainability at the University of Coimbra, and the task was entrusted to Condoril company. The exterior works were done by the companies Oliveira and Sá, Edirio, Geoborte Microestacas and Toscca.

November to March: 9: 00-17: 00
April: 9: 00-19: 00
